The Group is committed to creating and maintaining a culture which provides a safe working environment for employees and everyone affected by our undertaking. The Group's Health & Safety policy and procedures have been published and made available to all staff via the Group's Intranet and other appropriate means of communication.
The Chief Executive is responsible for health and safety matters at Board level and reports on these as appropriate. During the year a number of health and safety reviews have been carried out in relation to compliance with policies and procedures. Results are reported to the Executive Committee.
The Group's aim is to achieve certification to the Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2004 for various parts of the business, supported by an independent consultant advising the Group on the development of the environmental management system.
